The Space Key is a collection of five physical objects that will unlock a special digital art by an unknown artist. Each Space Key contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station as part of a research project for 2019. After returning to Earth the block was engraved with QR codes that connect to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. More than 600 million pixels each of the five images, which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera with lenses to capture the individual images, which were later put together into the final image. The result is an image that is out of this world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic look of a car key lamborghini rising from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there is no specific date or location yet.

The auction
