Contrary to other robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to go on the stairs. Like all mops and Vacuum Mop Robot vacuums it is susceptible to clogging by particles, like tennis shoes, play jewelry, thread, or other loose items.

iRobot Combo j7+

The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It still has a HEPA-filter to trap allergens and the same excellent dust compartment that is outside, but it now supports smart mapping. It is now possible to create no-go areas to prevent the vacuum from cleaning these areas again. The i3 Plus still has a variety of other fantastic features, including its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured finish to keep pet hair, dust and fingerprints off.

It is able to clean most debris and performs well on bare flooring, but had issues with pet hair on low-pile carpets. It is quieter and does an excellent job on high pile carpets. The i3 costs a bit more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads, and then refills the reservoir with water.
