Smart Keys

Lockout Protection

Lock-out tag-out (LOTO) systems can prevent these accidents by making sure that machines remain completely off until the authorized individual releases them.

The LOTO system consists of a variety of locks tags, locks, and other equipment that are used to secure, isolate or shut off the device from electrical power. All "affected" and "authorized" personnel are required to be trained in the use of these devices. These devices include, but aren't limited, to locks, chains and padlocks. Each device is singularly identified and labeled, including the date and time of its application, the name of the authorized individual and the reason for the tag-out or lockout (repair or maintenance, for example).
