The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, cleaning robot mop and vacuum and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It's not the best mapping robot vacuum time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning robot mop and vacuum. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for cleaning robot mop and vacuum on and off. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
