The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and cleaner more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 deebot robot vacuum is the sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
