Natura &Co completed the acquisition of Avon Products, Inc. in January which made it the fourth largest pure-play beauty brand in the world. Its shareholders will own 76% of the combined company. This transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

As the head of Natura &Co, Joao Paulo Brotto Goncalves Ferreira is charged with increasing the company's international presence. He was previously a Vice President-Supply Chain at Unilever Brazil and Latin America. He graduated with an MBA from the University of Michigan.

He has led Natura through the transformation from a traditional direct selling company to modern, digital one. The company's digitalization resulted in productivity growth and 17 consecutive quarters of growth.

In January, Natura &Co plans to begin trading shares of its through ADRs on the New York Stock Exchange. This will let the company leverage its brand synergies, broaden its product portfolio and reach 200 million consumers across the globe.

The company also has appointed a new executive team to lead the next phase of growth. Roberto Marques will serve as the Group Chief Executive Officer. Angela Cretu, will manage the company's global operations. In addition to overseeing the global management of the Natura brand She will also be responsible for the company's development and operations outside of Latin America.

Prior to joining Natura, Joao Paulo spent twenty years at Unilever in which he held various positions, including Vice President of Supply Chain. His last position with the company was Vice President of Operations and Logistics.

Ferreira is also part of the Executive Team of the C-Suite Department. He isn't a spend first and then ask questions later type of person.

Angela Cretu

Angela Cretu, an Avon veteran and its top management team, will take over as the company's chief executive officer. With over 20 years of experience in the management of a top beauty brand, Cretu is poised to oversee Avon's global operations as well as innovating.

Avon CEO Susanne Johnson has been a long-standing advocate for women all over the world and has taken up the idea of gender empowerment. Acosta is a senior executive leader at Avon. Acosta was appointed Senior Vice President and Latin America President in 2011. He was recently appointed Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer. Charles Herington, the Company’s Executive Chairman, will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining Avon prior to joining Avon, he worked for several years working at Unilever. He has extensive experience building consumer-oriented companies in emerging markets. In addition to his position at Avon as a CEO, he is also an investor and board member of RoC Skincare in New York.

He is the Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer at Avon. In addition, he has overseen the development of a brand new digital social selling approach.

Fernando Acosta started his career as an employee at Unilever. He has worked in Europe as well as the United Kingdom. Later, he was in high-level positions within Unilever's Latin American operations.

From 1999 until 2004, he served as the Category President for Latin America at Unilever. His role included overseeing the most popular brands of the company like Dove. He was also involved in the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty that launched new products like Pro Age.

After serving as a senior vice-president for Unilever's Middle Americas business, Avon Leadership Program he took on a more international job. From 2006 to 2008 he was the Brand President of Dove Global at Unilever. He was located in New York during this period.

He was previously a Regional President for Latin America at Avon. His tasks included driving sales and establishing the brand's Latin American strategy. He also supported the development of new product lines like Pro Age.

Jim Scully is also a director at Avon and is a board member for J.Jill. The new role he has taken at Avon will enable the company to implement its strategic plan. He also brings an extensive operational background to the company.

Miguel Fernandez, a former executive vice president at Herbalife will be named the Global President of Avon. He has extensive experience in e-commerce, complex customer management, and in executing growth strategies.
