The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that must be removed frequently, like clothes, toys and books. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
