They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time and are comfortable enough for commutes as well as longer flights. 2. Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2

Since the introduction of the first generation PX7 in 2015, Bowers & Wilkins' flagship headphones have often been included on the top lists of wireless headsets, putting them firmly in the same bracket as the likes Sony WH-1000XM5 and Bose QuietComfort. The newest model, called the PX7 S2, is an upgrade that takes the first headphones to a higher level, with improved ANC performance as well as a fresh design.

The bio-cellulose drivers of 40mm in the earcups have been angled so that they point directly at your eardrums. This delivers an experience with more intimacy than most other closed-back headphones. This is a bold claim however, one that the PX7 S2 can deliver on. The vocals are clear, and the bass is deep when needed.

In our tests, the PX7 S2 eliminated nearly all of our simulated cabin noise with impressive efficiency, and they excelled when we played Mozart's Et In Carnatus Est and Sanctus from his Grosse Messe, demonstrating excellent insight into the dynamic shifts between the solo voice, wind trio, and orchestral accompaniment.

Focal Bathys is the best option for audiophiles who value high fidelity, and who are in search of an ANC headphone that is wireless. They're the French audio company's first ANC headphones that utilize Bluetooth and they offer incredible sound quality both in Bluetooth mode and when connected to an device via USB to enjoy hi-fi quality sound at up to 24-bit/192kHz (the headset is also capable of passively blocking external sound with its closed ear cups).

The Bathys are stunning with their glossy finishes and swooping curvatures that are like Focal's closed-back Celestee and open-back Elear headphones. They also have premium materials like magnesium and aluminum to create solid construction that is comfortable, solid and worth the cost.

The Bathys Bluetooth headphones offer a crisp, lively sound quality. They are able to outperform consumer ANC models of the same price like the Sony XM5/5 or Bose QC45. Direct DAC audio mode allows them to be further pushed which makes them a fantastic choice for true hifi enthusiasts.

The Focal &Naim app allows users to alter the headphone's playback controls and Bluetooth pairing preferences. They can choose between quiet or soft intensities for ANC, adjust the brightness of the LEDs that are on the ear cups, and tweak EQ settings. The app is bare-bones but it has enough features to warrant the download.

The most notable flaw is that the active noise cancellation does not match the quality of the competitors. The headphone isn't able to block out all the background noise as the top-rated XM5 or AirPods Max, and its quality of treble isn't as good, with a muddy mid to high range that detracts from the sound of instruments and vocals.

The Focal Bathys aren't the most portable headphones. They're not suitable for travel because their ear cups don't fold and they weigh more than other models. The Bathys should be used at home for long listening sessions or as an example headset for audio engineering. 4. Sony WH-CH720N

The Sony WHCH720N is a great pair of wireless headphones uk over ear headsets for the price. They also have an appealing design that reflects premium quality, thanks to their durable construction and attractive matte finish.

They look similar to Sony's 1000X and XB910N headphone models. They sport an ultra-slim headband that has the standard earcup hinges and a sturdy plastic construction. They're light and comfortable to wear, however they feel a little too tight for my taste. In the box, they include a USB-C port for charging, a 3.5mm connector, and a decent length cable. They are compatible with multipoint Bluetooth pairing, which means that you can connect to two devices at once should you choose to.

In my tests, the CH720N's noise-cancelling technology was able to do well in reducing ambient noise, with only two noticeable blips in walking around Waterloo station and London Victoria. The sound-silencers didn't zap every sound around them, but they did struggle with low-frequency sounds such as the rumbling engine sounds of buses and trains.

The CH720N's Bluetooth connection worked smoothly and displayed a minimal harmonic distortion. I tested a range of genres and discovered that they were able to handle the intricate interplay among instruments with ease. It did an excellent job of taming bass in rock tracks and focusing the mix.

The Sony Headphones Connect App allows you to customize the CH720N's multipoint connection and ANC settings according to your preferences. You can also choose from a range of audio presets. You can also use the app to activate DSEE which boosts the quality of compressed content and improves the audio quality.

The WH-CH720N is a good value for PS130. It isn't equipped with some of Sony's best features (such as Speak-to-Chat and Fast Attention) however it comes with a lot of excellent features. 360 Reality Audio, smart controls and the DSEE upscaling are all present. The only thing that is missing is LDAC Bluetooth High-Res Audio Support which I believe would have been a welcome inclusion.
