The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuum Mop combo vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys mop pads and robot vacuum mop combo replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong like low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could want. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor produces a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This produces a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and Robot vacuum mop combo wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
