The eufy RoboVac11S is a different alternative for regular vacuuming. It is a close design to our top pick and is good at picking up small particles and fine dust from hard floors. It also does a decent job on medium and low-pile carpet. It comes with a large dirt bin and utilizes BoostIQ for automatic suction power adjustment. It also comes with a remote control that's easy to operate and allows you to program daily cleaning routines with the app. Its battery lasts about an hour and the dustbin can be cleaned without taking it from the dock.

Sensors on the S7 work in tandem to clean and eliminate obstacles. It can detect flooring types and save a floor map for rooms and zones. It can even detect dirt levels. It also has the ability to plan and conduct spot cleaning sessions. It did well in our tests, though it couldn't exactly match the Roomba j7+ in our carpet deep clean test.

You can program the S7 by using the companion app to run a cleaning routine according to your schedule. You can set a date, time either day or week and select from several cleaning modes, such as automatic, self-emptying vacuum eco, and deep clean. You can also decide whether the robot will cease operation if its power runs out or when it comes across an obstruction.

If you don't own an Android device however, you can still utilize the S7 by connecting a remote control to its charging dock. The controls are difficult initially, but they work well after you've become accustomed to them. The power button functions as the general 'Clean' function and the "Spot Clean" button directs the robot to clean small areas around itself. The 'Spot Clean" button also activates the child lock.

If you have to empty it you can simply remove the side container and place it over your trash can and press a button.

There's nothing to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it feels a bit less well-built than the Roomba 694. It's effective at cleaning carpeted floors, but doesn't match the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of the performance of bare floors. The i7 is also more robust and feels more durable. It is robust, has lower maintenance requirements, is able to charge lower costs for recurring expenses, charges faster, while offering similar battery performance, and offers much more advanced automation features, such as no-go zones and the capability to pick specific rooms for a clean.

iRobot j7+

This robot vac/mop combination is a rare find, because it can do both tasks extremely efficiently. iRobot Combo J7+ comes with all the features and smarts similar to its j7 counterpart including LiDAR maps and self-emptying. It also comes with additional features for mopping and vacuuming.

The j7+ uses the latest acoustic sensor technology to determine the type of floor and allows it to clean or mop the area during its initial pass. It also utilizes this information to prioritize cleaning rooms that have carpet or rug flooring over rooms with hard floors.

The j7+ is quieter than most robotic vacuums when running, and even quieter when it's mopping. The maximum reading of 64 decibels on our decibel meter is similar to office chatter.

It's simple to establish the schedule to clean and alter what the j7+ does when its dust canister is full. The j7+ can be controlled by voice assistants, such as Alexa, Google Assistant and other. to make it hands-free. Additionally, the app allows you to create and explore maps of your home.

The j7+ performed admirably in our tests of both carpeted and hard floors, removing most of the dirt we tossed at it. It has a difficult time dealing with pet hair, large particles and sand. But it is able to clean them with more effort. It also has decent navigation capabilities and a set of cliff sensors to stop it from falling down stairs or getting stuck on furniture legs.

The J7+ has some minor flaws. One of them is that it can get caught on cords or rugs and does not always turn off the mopping feature when it is done vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that checks all the boxes.

The j7+ from iRobot also comes with one of the top self-emptying vacuum systems we've seen. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust container into the base station, where it automatically empties for you. This reduces the amount of trash you'll need to dispose of and you'll only need to replace the reusable dust disposal bag from the dock about every 60 days or so, based on how often you use the J7+.
