The Eufy 11S robotic vacuum is among the most affordable self-emptying vacuums available on the market. In our tests it was able to clean up dry oats on hard floors and low pile carpeting. Its dustbin opens and empties easily, making it more convenient to use than some other models in the same price range.

It recharges at its base and then cleans when it's ready. But its obstacle-avoidance technology gets caught in cords and socks, and it can't go under low thresholds.

1. iRobot Roomba 11S

The 11S is among the cheapest self-emptying robots, and a lot of people seem to like it. It is a great choice for scooting underneath furniture and is a good option for people with hard floors or daily cleaning. Its suction might be a bit weaker than the suction of our top picks, but it gets the job completed. It has a large dust bin and a long-lasting battery. The eufy RoboVac11S is another good alternative for regular vacuuming. It has a very similar design to our top choice and is great at picking up smaller and fine dust from hard floors. It also does a great job on low-pile and medium-pile carpet. It has a large dirt storage container and uses BoostIQ for automatic suction power adjustment. It comes with a simple remote control, and it is possible to organize daily cleanings with the app. Its battery lasts for about an hour and the dustbin is able to be empty without taking it from the dock.

2. Roborock S7 maxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is an excellent robot vacuum and mop, with a surprising array of automation features. The Shark IQ XL is a great vacuum cleaner. It does a decent job cleaning floors that are not bare and can move well. However the Shark IQ XL feels a little less solidly built than the Roomba 694. It's effective in cleaning carpeted floors however, it isn't as efficient as the iRobot Roomba i7 when it comes to bare floor performance. The i7 also feels more durable, is more robust and requires less maintenance. It has lower recurring costs and charges faster and has comparable battery performance. It also has more advanced technology for automation, such as no-go areas and the ability choose specific rooms to be cleaned.

4. iRobot J7+

This robot vac and mop combination is a rare machine that can perform both tasks efficiently. iRobot Combo j7+ has all the smarts and features of its j7 counterpart, including LiDAR maps and self-emptying. It also comes with additional features for vacuuming and mopping.

In our tests, the j7+ was a solid performer on carpeted and hard floors, and it cleaned up most of the dirt we tossed at it. It has a difficult time with pet hair, large pieces of debris and sand. But it can clean them with a little more effort. It also has decent navigation capabilities, as well as a pair of cliff sensors that stop it from falling down the stairs or stumbling on furniture legs.
