iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

In contrast to some robot vacuums this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. However, just like any mop and vacuum it is prone to getting blocked by debris, such as the stray tennis shoes ribbons, beads or play jewelry, yarn, or other stray objects.

You can use the iRobot Home app to label rooms and create no-go zones. You can also track the progress of your mops and their battery status.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is part of the mop and robotic vacuum line-up, combining the robotic cleaner's smart mapping capabilities and the ability to deal with spills. It uses the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that is used by other Roomba options and maps your home 7x faster than earlier models. It also allows you to create Keep out Zones (for rooms that the robot should avoid) and Clean Zones (for rooms it must keep clean).

The robotic arm is the most significant feature of the J7. It keeps the mop pad in place when not in use and lowers it when carpeting or hard flooring. In my testing the Combo J7+ did a good job at avoiding spraying water onto the rug. The robot backed away when it saw the rug, and didn't attempt to go over it, even though I moved the rug around a few times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank which can be easily removed and filled, so it's easier to manage than the mop pads of many other 2-in-1 robots. It uses iRobot PrevisionVision obstacle-avoidance technology which is more advanced than other systems similar to it.

iRobot Combo i5

This multitasker is designed to mop and vacuum with one machine. The vacuuming is done by using a special bin that can hold up to 60 days of dust. According to iRobot, this reduces dust that is released into the air. The i5+ comes with a dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting suction to tackle dust and dirt, pet hair, and staining. Simply replace the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're ready to mop.

The i5+ runs iRobot OS and is smarter as you use it. It learns your floorplan, creating an Smart Map that remembers room names and your specific cleaning preferences. You can then direct it to clean a room or set a timer for a whole area of your home using the iRobot app.

iRobot is able to recognize household clutter such as bags, shoes cords, toys, and even cords. It is also compatible with voice commands such as Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Mop Google Assistant, understanding around 600 voice commands - far more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robot vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good option for mop homes that have carpets and hard floors. It utilizes intelligent mapping to remove obstacles and efficiently clean. It has a variety of mopping options, including the SmartScrub system that can remove difficult stains. It is also able to create No Mop Zones to ensure carpets don't get swept up. The dock replenishes the mopping fluid on a regular basis. This model is more expensive than the previous Roomba Combo j7+, but it offers more features.

Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies a pressure to the floor, which allows for an even deeper cleaning. It also gets rid of tough stains. It also works under furniture and in tight spaces for a more thorough cleaning. The Combo j5+ can also be used in conjunction with the iRobot Clean Base to automatically eliminate dirt.

Smart Mapping allows it to navigate your home seven times faster than before5, while identifying rooms with 90% accuracy6. It can even create an entire map of your home, allowing you to clean up any area you like after just one step. It can also identify and avoid items like backpacks, cords, pet toys, kitty litter boxes, socks, shoes, and more to make cleaning easier. You can plan cleaning schedules in your home and control your robot remotely with the iRobot App.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 is an updated version of the original Roomba i3. It has the same fantastic external dirt compartment and a HEPA filter to trap allergens however, it now supports smart mapping. You can now designate zones that are not accessible to prevent the vacuum from vaccuming these areas repeatedly. The i3 Plus has a lot of other fantastic features, like its advanced cleaning system and 10x power-lifting vacuum. It also has a three-stage cleaning process. It has a textured finish to keep pet hair, dust and fingerprints from getting on.

It removes most dirt and is great on carpets that are not bare, but it did have trouble with pet hair on carpets with low pile. It is quieter and does a great job on carpets with a high pile. The i3 is a bit more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads and replenishes the reservoir with water.

With the i3 app, you can create schedules for cleaning at a specific time to suit your needs. You can also control your robot using your voice assistant to begin or stop cleaning. iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 is the latest robot vacuum and mop from iRobot. It is a combination of iRobot's intelligent floor cleaning technology to make it a perfect choice for homes with hard floors as well as carpets or rugs.
