The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop set up virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum mop known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
