The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can choose an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This best robot vacuum for carpet vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right like the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can want. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for carpet and hardwood known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop dry its mop pad. While these features are useful, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners require.

This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
