This model that is wet-dry is fitted with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by the 270-degree angle. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric, which makes it easier to scrub tough areas as opposed to traditional mops. During my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms, and also make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop using hot water, before starting another task of cleaning.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is easy to set up and begin using. Place the dock in its place then plug it in and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It takes only a few minutes. Then, you can launch the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to modify my floor plan in less than 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for sweeping and mopping and rearranging the layout of furniture on the wall, and more. The X2 Omni performed admirably in my tests. It scored highly in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and had near-perfect results for crevices and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The EcoVACS T10 Omni is a powerful mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line from the company and comes with the brand new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than conventional scrubbing. It has YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. This allows it to respond to various voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, set up cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off according to your needs. This is fine for most households, but not for those with busy lives.

The Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our pet hair tests. It removed more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood floors. This is an excellent performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet, removing over 99% of dirt and other debris.

This robot vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that offers cool water cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L plastic bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that permits frequent washing and drying between mopping runs.

Like other mopping machines, the Deebot T10 Omni has a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries the mop pads as it utilizes them. However, it doesn't have an open tray, which means that dirty water dust, dirt, and other grime gradually build up on the bottom of the tray over time.

While the Anker-owned Eufy is well known in the robot vacuum space, this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It's a tempting mid-range vacuum cleaner although it can't quite deliver on its promise of being the ultimate source for floor cleaning.

Its basic navigation system uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature worked very well during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't quite as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning low-pile carpet and floors that are not covered. It also utilizes intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It can be sent to a specific area, and includes a variety of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It also lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions and is perfect for households with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying dock station can store up to 30 days of dirt prior to needing to be cleaned. It also comes with an assortment of angled side brushes that penetrate into corners and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander, and allergens for cleaner air.
