The app is easy to use and has an intuitive layout. It's not an app with a lot of features, but it is easy to use and lets you check the status of your robot. It also comes with an informative tutorial that can guide you through the basics.

Bounce Navigation's cleaning pattern isn't always intuitive. Sometimes it follows straight lines while other times it focuses on the edges of the space. However, it cleans the entire floor. We believe that there are better robot vacuums available than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba 694 is stronger, easier to maintain, has lower ongoing costs, and charges faster. It also has a bigger dustbin and performs better on all surface types and can also get over obstacles that are low (like electrical cords) more easily.

The RoboVac 11S, which is eufy, is an excellent choice for everyday vacuuming. It's design is very similar to our top pick, and it is great for picking up fine dirt and larger debris on hard floors. It is able to do a great job on carpets with medium or low pile. Like the Roomba from iRobot Roomba it also has a huge dirt compartment and uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It has an easy-to-use remote control, best self-emptying vacuum and it is possible to schedule daily cleanings using the app. The battery lasts for around an hour and the bin can be easily empty by removing it from its dock.

2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is a fantastic robot vacuum and mop, with a surprising array of automation features. It comes in three versions, the basic S7, the S7 MaxV Plus and the S7 MaxV Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only model with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternate Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its original location, empty the collected debris in a dust bag, or reservoir, drain the dirty water tank, and wash its mopping pads.

The S7's sensors work together to stay clear of obstacles and clean the floors. It can recognize floor types, save a map of rooms and zones and even detect dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and carrying out spot cleaning sessions. It did well in standard tests, but couldn't match the iRobot Roomba j7+ for the carpet deep cleaning test.

Using the companion app, you can program the S7 to run a cleaning cycle according to your schedule. You can choose a cleaning mode like automatic or eco, and the day, week, or time. You can also select whether the robot will cease operation if its power runs out or when it comes across an obstruction.

You can still use the S7 even if you don't own a smartphone by connecting a charging dock to a remote control. The remote controls are a little confusing initially, but once you get the hang of them they work well. The power button also acts as the 'Cleaning' option, and the Spot Clean button instructs the robot to clean the area around it. The 'Spot Clean" button also triggers the child lock.

In addition to the new mapping features, Roborock improved its mobile app, adding live view that lets you observe what the S7 is up to at home. You can enable it by pressing a particular sequence of buttons on your S7 and then you can create an unlock pattern within the mobile app that is available at any time you want to know what the S7 is doing.

3. Shark IQ SX

Shark's robot vacuum empty itself vacuums aren't as a hit than those from iRobot or Roborock. But our tests on the ground have proven that this model is among the most effective self-emptying vacuums available. It's easy to set up and has a large bin that is able to be easily empty (albeit loudly) into a trashcan once full. It can also be programmed to clean your entire home on a regular basis.

The IQ XL can connect to your home WiFi and allows you to monitor it from the Shark app and check its battery status as it cleans. The app lets you program a cleaning schedule, receive push notifications about its status as well as the ability to pause and resume cleaning, or set it to a single room. It can also be controlled using voice commands through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The app will tell the user which power mode is currently selected which is Eco Normal, Normal, or Maximum - but we found that none of these settings made any significant difference in the cleaning performance.

The IQ XL will automatically empty the bin at the end of a cleaning cycle into the base, which will self-empty. Its bin can hold up 60 days of waste It won't require emptying more frequently than that, unless you have many pets with long hair. If you do have to empty it, all you need to do is untie the side bin, hold it up to a trash can and then press a button that will let you eject the contents.

There isn't much to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it is a little less sturdy than the Roomba 694. It clears many messes on unfinished flooring and does a decent job of maneuvering itself, but it doesn't come close to matching the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of performance on carpeted floors. The i7 also feels more robust, more durable and requires less maintenance. It has lower recurring costs and charges faster, and offers comparable battery performance. It also comes with more advanced automation features, such as areas that are not accessible and the ability to choose specific rooms to be cleaned.

4. iRobot J7+

This robot vacuum and mop combination is a rare find that can do both tasks well. iRobot Combo j7+ has all the smarts and features similar to its j7 counterpart including LiDAR map and self-emptying. But it also offers additional features for mopping and vacuuming.

The new acoustic sensors aid the j7+ recognize flooring types, meaning it can decide between vacuuming and mopping during the first time it passes through an area. It also uses this info to prioritize cleaning rooms that have carpet or rugs over those with hard floors.

The J7+ is more quiet than the majority of robotic vacuums when running and is even quieter when it's mopping. The maximum reading of 64 decibels on our decibel meter is comparable to normal office chatter.

You can easily create a cleaning schedule and change the way that dust is cleaned when the canister fills. The j7+ can be controlled by voice assistants (Alexa, Google Assistant, etc.).) The app lets you create and view maps from your home.

In our tests, the j7+ performed admirably on carpeted and hard floors, cleaning most of the dirt we tossed at it. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large particles and sand. But it is able to remove them with a bit more effort. It has excellent navigational capabilities and two cliff sensors that stop it from falling down the stairs or getting stuck on furniture legs.

The j7+ has a few minor flaws. One of them is that it can be caught on cords or rugs and does not always turn off the mopping function when it's done vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that ticks off all the boxes.

iRobot j7+ has also one of the top auto-emptying systems that we've ever examined. It deposits its 14oz / 0.4-liter dust canister into the base station where it automatically emptys itself for you. This helps reduce the amount of garbage you have to get rid of. It is only necessary to replace the dust disposal bag at the dock once every 60 days, based on how often you use the j7+.
