1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is the latest model in Ecovacs range of robot vacuum-mop hybrids. This wet/dry model comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system uses dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what you'd find in self-driving cars -- and can scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, making it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean areas than traditional mopping. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models which seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms by the corners and edges as well as create an "Zambani pattern" up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the trash bin and clean the mop using hot water before starting another clean-up job.

The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. Snap the dock into position, plug it in and connect it to your home WiFi network. It takes just about a minute. You can then open the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able to dive into the settings and customize my floor plan in less than 15 minutes, incorporating restricted areas for sweeping and mopping as well as reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni impressed me during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal. It also had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you need a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It has YIKO, which is a natural language processing system that is a first of its kind. It can respond to a variety of voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The T10 Omni's biggest flaw is that it's unable to switch from mopping and vacuuming in a single run. The two modes require you attach and remove the mop heads as needed, which is fine for most homes, but not suitable for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that delivers impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood flooring. This is a fantastic performance. It also did an excellent job on tile and carpet cleaning up more than 90% of dirt and Vacuum Mop Pet Hair dust.

This robot vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L disposable bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It's a mid-range cleaner that's attractive even if the promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't make sense.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular form, sweeping wheels, and a raised sensor area. On the other hand you'll find a motorized floorbrush as well as a single side brush that moves dust from the edges into the main path of its' mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't the best at navigating over carpets. It did a good job of picking up pet hair on floors that were not paved However, during our tests, it picked up 89.5 percent of litter, which is higher than all but the most powerful robots we've examined.

It also has an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes, a self-emptying dock, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It is Wi-Fi-enabled and is best controlled using the Neato app which allows cleaning to be scheduled and the overall maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large carpet, hard carpet and floors, but it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck on toys, power cords or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

This robot was very successful in our tests of hardwood floors and food particles. It ate everything from one rice grain to a variety of dog food pieces with only one swipe. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs but in general this vacuum cleaner is great for rooms that have flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

It's not cheap but if you're able to manage the price, it's a great purchase for those who want to leave their home free to do other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to get rid of tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides exceptional value for the money. The basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it's not able to map rooms. This makes it less efficient than other models in this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Its mopping mode performed very well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as well-built however, it's better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with a low pile and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It also allows you to send it to a specific area, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones and scheduling.
