4. Shark ION SX

The ION XL, Shark's most sophisticated self-emptying robot vacuum, is a great choice for those who want to keep their homes clean without having to lift a finger. It also provides exceptional performance. The robot vacuum has an enormous bin that can store the equivalent of a month's worth dirt and the base can be set to automatically empty it at the end of every cleaning session for storage that lasts longer. The ION XL robot vacuum is one of the most flexible on the market. It can clean carpets and hard floors. You can control the robot with an app or voice commands. You can also make a map to clean your home at any time. The robot can also do great job moving around furniture and can even move through stairs and fully-carpeted rooms with ease.

I tested the IONXL in a kitchen and family room with hardwood floors, area rugs and a standard test for debris. It was a great job cleaning up and removing pet hair, debris, and even some of the more difficult to remove carpet crumbs. It also did a great job moving and didn't hit my bar stools like the iRobot J7+ in this test.
