The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do to locate your home.

It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could want. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the home. On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it to its base station.
