The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of a button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even remove wet spills but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot mop and vacuum combo vacuum and mop and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and robot vacuum and mop combo can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can modify how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
