The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top bagless robot vacuum vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price cost.

This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a specific route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station.
