Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to mark the centennial of the company. It's made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as an original 1930s booklet that features never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Bentley claims it takes about 500 man-hours in order to create and assemble the average Mulsanne. The inability to adopt modern technology is the primary factor to this time-consuming effort. And rather than letting the car's built in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spaces drivers must perform the task by hand.

During the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities with an exclusive example that was the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founding father of the brand, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars come with keys that display an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
