The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The app is adept at nagging you only when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are useful however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.
