Angela Cretu, an Avon veteran and its top leadership team, will take over as the company's chief executive officer. Cretu has more than 20 years of experience managing a top beauty brand and is well-positioned to oversee the company's global operations.

Fernando J. Acosta

Acosta is one of the most senior executives at Avon. Acosta joined the company as Senior Vice President and Latin America President in 2011. He was recently named Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer. Charles Herington, the Company’s Executive Chairman, will be reporting directly to this position.

Before joining Avon before joining Avon, he spent a few years working at Unilever. He has extensive experience creating consumer-focused businesses and setting up these in emerging markets. In addition to his position at Avon, he is an investor and board member at RoC Skincare in New York.

He is the Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer at Avon. He also oversees the creation and implementation of the new social selling strategy that is digital.

Fernando Acosta started his career as an employee at Unilever. He has worked in Europe as well as the United Kingdom. Later, he was in high-ranking positions within Unilever's Latin American operations.

He was the Category President for Latin America at Unilever from 1999 to 2004. He was responsible for overseeing Dove which is among the most popular brands in the company. After serving as a senior vice-president for Unilever's Middle Americas business, he took on a larger international role. From 2006 until 2008, he was the Brand President of Dove Global at Unilever. At the time, he was based in New York.

He was previously the Regional President for Latin America at Avon. His tasks included driving sales and establishing the brand's Latin American strategy. He also helped in the development of new product lines, such as Pro Age.
