Controls

The 700s do not have physical controls for the ear cups unlike most of Bose's headphones. Instead you'll find a touch panel in the front of the right ear cup that detects finger taps and swipes. Tap twice to play or stop, swipe up to raise the volume, and down to lower it and forward to skip tracks. A single tap answers calls, and a double-tap rejects calls that are incoming.

The headset lets you switch on the "aware" mode which allows for some permeability of your environment. It's a great feature for anyone who has to be aware of their surroundings while listening to music or making phone calls.

Another feature of the 700s is a motion sensor which shuts down your headphones noise cancelling after a period of inactivity.
