Easy to install

Fiat 500 key covers are an easy way to freshen your car keys. You can choose from a range of styles and colors to find the one that is most appropriate to your personality. The most attractive thing is that they are easy to install, so you can install them within a matter of ten minutes. You'll only need an electric screwdriver and a bit of patience. The first step is to take off the cover that was originally installed. The original cover needs to be removed before the replacement can be installed.

Once you have removed the old cover, use a flathead screwdriver to pry out the four major attachment clips on the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are highlighted in red on the image below. Also, note the tabs for locating slots shown in yellow that need to be disengaged also.

Replace the battery with a #CR2032 coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should face the opening on the fob and the "side that is "-" side should be facing the buttons made of rubber.

Reattach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the tabs that locate it. Once you've completed this, put the fob on the driver's side in your car and test it by pressing the button on the front of the car key. If everything is working as it should, the parking lights should be lit and the doors will lock.

Easy to remove

It is simple to change the battery by turning the switch half turn with an inexpensive screwdriver that is flat.

The key fob comes with a microchip inside that is used to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM). When you insert your Fiat key, it presses a button inside the ignition switch that is used to remind you of the "key-inignition". The BCM can detect the transponder in the key fob to confirm that it's valid.

You can also choose to add the twin pack with a sport design for a unique, funky design to your key covers. These covers snap in place over your existing cover and are available in Cream and Silver. The key cover can only be used when the original black cover is removed from your key fob.
