The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior Best Robot Vacuum and Mop filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and moves along.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash to the hidden bin and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for carpet and hardwood known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not at home robot vacuum. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a set path.

It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences.
