The ION XL isn't as efficient as the iRobot j7+, but it is a good alternative for those who don't want to spend more than $500 on cleaning robots. It's superior to the less expensive RoboVac 11S in most ways it is also more easy to maintain and incurring lower recurring costs. It also performs better at vacuuming bare floors and removing pet hair, but it does not do as well on low- or high-pile carpet.

It's not as well-built however it's an excellent choice. The ION XL has a large bin capacity, it is operated by an app or voice commands, and it is easy to keep up with maintenance. It's also a good price.
