The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, Best Robot Vacuum and Mop but iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. The mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's items that need to be removed frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're away from home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the lefant robot vacuum is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
