The Eufy 11S robotic vacuum is among the most affordable self-emptying vacuums available on the market. In our tests it was able remove dry oats from hard floors and carpets with low pile. Its dust bin is simple to empty and openit's much simpler than some other models in the same price range.

It is charged at its base and then resumes cleaning as soon as it's ready. However, its obstacle-avoidance technology is caught in cords and socks, and it's unable to operate under low thresholds.

1. iRobot Roomba 11S

The 11S is one of the most affordable self-emptying robots, and a lot of people seem to like it. It is good at getting under furniture and is a great choice for those who have hard floors or daily cleaning. Its suction is a bit weaker than our top picks but it's still able to do the job. It has a big dust bin and a long-lasting battery. The app lets you schedule daily cleanings or pick a specific room. You can also map your home to allow the device to stay clear of areas you don't want it visit.

The app is simple to use and has an intuitive layout. It's not a full-featured app, but it is easy to use and lets you monitor your robot's status. It comes with a tutorial that will walk you through the basics.

Its cleaning patterns don't always appear logical - sometimes it follows straight lines, other times it seeks out the edges of a room - but Bounce Navigation ensures your entire floor is cleaned. It is not the best self-emptying vacuum (click the next web page) at navigating obstacles, it struggled to get under our pet food bowls and piano pedals, and got caught in our 2.25 inch shag carpet multiple times.

We believe there are better robot vacuums available than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba 694 is stronger and easier to maintain, incurs lower recurring costs, and is less time-consuming to charge. It has a bigger bin, and performs better on any type of surface and can scale obstacles that are low in elevation (like electrical cables) more easily.

The eufy RoboVac11S is another option for regular vacuuming. It's design is very similar to our top choice, and is excellent in removing fine dirt and larger debris on hard floors. It is able to do a great job on low-pile or medium-pile carpet. Like the iRobot Roomba it also has a very large dirt compartment, and it uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It also has an adjustable remote that is easy to use and allows you to program daily cleaning routines with the app. The battery can last for about an hour, and the dustbin can be easily empty by removing it from its dock.

2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a great robot with a surprising array of automation features. It is available in three models including the standard S7, the S7 MaxV Plus, and the S7 MaxV Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only model with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). Shark IQ XL feels a little less solidly built than the Roomba 694. It is able to remove a lot of debris on carpeted floors and does a decent job at maneuvering itself however it's not even close to the iRobot Roomba i7 in regards to performance on carpeted surfaces. The i7 also feels more durable, is more robust and requires less maintenance. It has lower recurring costs and charges more quickly and has similar battery performance. It also has more advanced technology for automation, such as no-go areas and the ability choose specific rooms to be cleaned.

iRobot j7+

This robot vacuum and mop combination is a rare find that can perform both tasks efficiently. iRobot Combo j7+ has all the features and smarts similar to its j7 counterpart including LiDAR maps and self-emptying. However, it also has additional features for vacuuming and mopping.

The new acoustic sensors assist the j7+ recognize flooring types, meaning it can choose between vacuuming and mopping on the first pass through a room. It also uses this info to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpets and rug flooring over rooms with hard floors.

Like most robotic vacuums, the j7+ is quiet when it's running, and even less noisy when it's mopping. The highest reading we could get on our decibel meter was 64db which is comparable to the sound of normal office chatter.

It's simple to establish a schedule for cleaning and change the way that the j7+ operates when its dust container is full. The j7+ is also controlled by voice assistants, such as Alexa, Google Assistant and others. The app lets you create and view maps from your home.

In our tests, the J7+ performed well on both hard and carpeted flooring, removing the majority of the dirt we tossed at it. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large debris and sand. But it is able to clean them with a little more effort. It also has decent navigation abilities and a set of cliff sensors to keep it from falling down the stairs or stumbling on furniture legs.

The J7+ has some minor flaws, for instance, it could get stuck on cords or rugs and it doesn't always turn off the mopping feature when it's done vacuuming. This is a great model that ticks off all the boxes.

iRobot j7+ has also one of the most efficient auto-emptying systems we've ever tried. It spits out its 14oz / 0.4-liter dust canister into the base station where it automatically empties itself for you to. This reduces the amount of garbage you have to throw away and you'll only need to replace the dust disposal bag from the dock about every 60 days or so, based on how often you use the J7+.
