Eufy, owned by Anker, has become an established brand in the world of low-cost robot vacuums. But it didn't provide a model that could also mop. That changes with the X8 Hybrid, which has an impressive array of modern features and can compete well with more expensive models.

The laser navigation is the primary selling point of this machine. The X8 makes use of the laser mapping system, which is more accurate than previous Eufy devices. It takes less time to build an extensive map of your home. It can also store multiple maps. This is ideal for multi-floored homes.

The X8 is a great vacuum cleaner for floors with no dust. It can easily sling debris under the side brushes and into its 400ml dustbin. Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is known for its quiet, efficient appliances. It is a stunning design, excellent navigation and an impressive cleaning power. It has some oddities in its operation that prevent it from being named the top smart robot vacuum.

4. Shark ION

This budget robovac that looks just like the other, but it has a few more features and a better performance. Its smart mapping system generates 3D and 2D maps of your house and makes use of to navigate and avoid obstructions. It also comes with more advanced automation features than many competitors, such as the ability to create virtual boundary markers with its mobile app. It's a dependable robot vacuum, even if the app isn't the most responsive and the 980's wheels spin out when rolling over cables.

One thing we love about the 980 is the fact that it utilizes its iAdapt 2.0 navigation sensors and its visual simultaneous mapping and localisation technology (or vSLAM) to store the floor plan of your home. It will use this data to create a consistent, efficient cleaning path in every cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient vacuum than most high-end robots.

Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface brushes which grab dirt from floors and carpets and the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum’s bin.
