Easy to install

Fiat ducato key Programming 500 key covers are an easy way to refresh your car keys. You can choose from a variety of colors and styles to find one that matches your personality. Installing them yourself is within ten minutes. You'll need a screwdriver as well as some patience. The first step is to remove the original cover. This has to be removed before the new cover is installed.

Once you have removed the old cover Once you have removed the old cover, use a flathead screwdriver to pry out the four main attachment clips on the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are marked with red on the picture below. Also note the tabs that locate slots, which are yellow, that need to be disconnected in addition.

After removing the battery, replace it with a brand new 3 volt coin cell battery. Make sure that the "+" positive side of the battery corresponds to the opening on the fob, and that the"-" negative side is facing toward the rubber buttons.

Re-attach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the locating tabs. Once you've completed this, insert the fob for the driver side back in your car and test it by pressing the push button on the front of the car key. If everything works as it should your car should start to turn on the parking lights and the doors will lock automatically.

Easy to remove

Fiat 500 Key Covers are an excellent way to upgrade your key fob. They're easy to install and provide a unique appearance. They protect your key fob from scratches, smudges and dirt. To install a new cover, you will first have to take off the old one from your vehicle.

This is done by pressing the red "Fiat" button located on the front of your key fob. Pressing the button releases a lever which allows you to pull out the key ignition switch made of steel (1). After you've removed the metal keys there is a small silver switch that has images of a padlock both locked and unlocked beside it. This is the key fob battery switch. The battery is simple to replace by turning the switch for a quarter turn with a screwdriver that has a flathead.

The key fob is equipped with the microchip that connects to the Body Control Module. When you insert the key in your Fiat vehicle, it presses a button on the ignition switch, which functions as a "key-in-ignition" reminder. The BCM can then read the transponder on the key fob in order to confirm that it's valid.

You can also add a design twin pack to your key covers to give it an unique and funky appearance. These covers snap into place over the original cover. They are available in Cream and silver. The key cover will only work if you remove the black cover from your key fob.
