Easy to install

Fiat 500 key covers can be a great method to upgrade your keys. You can choose from a wide range of styles and colors to find one that best suits your personal style. Installing them yourself is in ten minutes. You'll need a screwdriver as well as some patience. The first step is to remove the original cover from your key. The original cover must be removed before the new one cover can be put in place.

After removing the old cover, you can make use of a flathead tool to remove the four major attachment clips off the passenger side of fob assembly. These are highlighted in red on the photo below. Also note the tabs that locate slots that are highlighted in yellow. They must be removed also.

After taking the battery off, replace it with a brand new CR2032 3 volt coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should be facing the fob's opening, and the "-" side should face the rubber buttons.

Replace the cover of the passenger's side mirror by aligning locating tabs. After you have done this, place the fob on the driver's side in your vehicle and test it by pressing the button on the front of the car key. If everything is working as it should the parking lights will be turned on and the doors will shut.

Easy to remove

When you insert your fiat Spare key key it presses a button inside the ignition switch that is used to remind you of the "key-inignition". The BCM will then be capable of reading the transponder inside the key fob to verify that it's valid.
