iRobot Combo j7+

The idea is to avoid spraying water onto the rug and the Combo j7+ does very well in my testing. The best robot vacuum that mops backed off when it encountered the rug, and didn't attempt to cross it, even when I moved the rug around a few times.

The arm comes with an 240mL tank that can be easily popped out and filled, so it's more manageable than mop pads on other 2-in-1 robots. It uses iRobot PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more advanced than other systems of this kind.

iRobot Combo i5

It is designed to do mopping and vacuuming in the same machine it is a great option for those who are multitaskers. The mopping is accomplished with a specialised bin which can accommodate up to 60 days of debris. According to iRobot this will reduce the amount dust released into the air. The iRobot Combo i3 is an updated version of the Roomba i3. It has a HEPA filter to eliminate allergens and has the same great external dust compartment, but it now supports smart mapping. The i3 Plus still has a bunch of other excellent features too like its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured surface to keep dust, pet hair and fingerprints from getting on.

It is able to perform well on unfinished flooring and can clean up most debris however, it was a bit difficult with pet hair on low pile carpets. It is quieter and does an excellent job on carpets with a high pile. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying system which emptys the dirtbag, refills its water reservoir and cleans its mop pads.

You can create cleaning schedules using the i3 App. You can also use your voice assistant to control your robot to start or stop the cleaning. It also tracks your home's unique floor layout to provide a personalized schedule and cleaning habits. It makes use of the most advanced sensors for mapping to guide you through carpet and hardwood, and learns your routine to improve performance.

iRobot Combo i2
