Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Aesthetics

As you approach a car like the Continental GT W12, its beautiful sculptural design is highlighted by carefully selected lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever made. Its rear tonneau for instance, displayed the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to the production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Design

Bentley is known for its luxurious and ostentatious cars and keys, but even the keys are designed to stand out. Bentley Mulliner redesigned and developed the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a specific specification that is called the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embossed in Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with an open button on the trunk, and another button that starts the car. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parking in tight spaces. This feature can help you get into and out of your vehicle more quickly.

Each key takes about two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched, sealed, and then polished to produce a premium result. It is small and sturdy and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more premium feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to protect against keyless entry theft. The device is inserted into the remote control fob, and is disabled in the event that the key isn't used for a short period of time. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can be used to open and start the vehicle.
