The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or best i robot vacuum plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something requires attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also remove wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can want. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best I robot vacuum known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot vacuum and mop best buy we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can alter how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This produces a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
