The laser navigation is the most important feature of this machine. Previous Eufy devices have created an approximate map of your home by using infrared sensors and bumping into things, but the X8's laser mapping technology is more precise. It takes less time to create an extensive map of your home. It also has the ability to store multiple maps. This is perfect for robotvacuummops homes with multiple floors.

The X8 is still a decent vacuum on floors with no dust, slinging debris under its side brushes and into the 400ml dust bin with ease. Its tyres are also very adept at hugging edges and corners even though they're circular. It's not a fantastic cat litter eater, however our tests have shown it only removes about 90 percent of the fur from hard floors.

The basic mopping mode uses the same water reservoir as the vacuuming mode. This is great for spills that aren't serious, but you can't control the amount of water it consumes. It does, however, do an excellent job of removing pet hair, and has a higher pickup rate than the Roborock S7.
