The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away if it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
