Following a series of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. Space Key is a project that was created in collaboration with a non-disclosed artist and based upon advanced carbon fiber composite materials that were shipped to the International Space Station as research material, is a project that has been revealed by Lamborghini.

The new project - called the Space Key - is a work of art that was made by a collaboration with an artist who is not known. The one-of-a-kind NFT is a physical object that has a link to exclusive digital artwork that can be accessed via a QR code on the back. The project is limited to five pieces and will be auctioned in the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite materials which Lamborghini shipped to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. When it returned to earth carbon fiber was fashioned into this unique art. The physical piece has an NFT serial code that links to the digital image via QR code on the back.

NFTs for those who aren't familiar are unique identifiers which are recorded on an open ledger on the blockchain and connected to a digital asset, such as a photo or video, song or other record. This allows owners to guarantee authenticity and the scarcity of tokens via the internet.

Lamborghini takes this unique approach to art by collaborating with NFT PRO - an all-white label NFT solution for businesses. Over the next few weeks, the company will be sharing details about this exciting project including the name of the unknown artist and a timetable for the auction.

In the wake of numerous social media posts that tease something that was space-related, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has stepped into the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFT) with a unique project called Space Key. Created in collaboration with an unknown artist, the NFT is a collector's piece that will be auctioned off within a few weeks time. At its heart is a piece of high-tech carbon fiber composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station (ISS) in the year 2019 as part of an experiment. Carbon fiber was 3D printed to form the base of each Space Key. Each Space Key is linked to an exclusive digital artwork using an QR code. Only five Space Lambo Keys were produced.

NFTs are unique identifications that can be recorded in distributed ledgers, like the Blockchain and connected to digital assets like pictures. It's a hot topic among people with more money than they have common sense. It was only a question of time before automakers decided to cash in.

After weeks of social media posts hinting it, luxury car maker Lamborghini finally revealed its first initiative for tokens that are non-fungible (NFT). The project is dubbed the Space Key, it consists of five items that unlock a unique digital artwork created by an artist yet to be identified. Developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) the "collector's item" is limited to only five units and will be auctioned off shortly.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of a carbon-fire composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research program. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved with QR codes that link to the digital element in the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a distinct moment that occurs only seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. More than 600 million pixels make each of the five images which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner utilized an inflatable camera with an lens to take individual images, which were later combined into the final photo. The result is an out-of-this world image that captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic look of the car key lamborghini rising away from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and location of the auction hasn't been confirmed yet.

Each one will be auctioned in a separate auction and the winner will receive a digital artwork designed by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner, which captures the five different moments the Space Key passed during its flight through space.
