Window Sash Repairs

Window sashes need to be inspected regularly for signs of mold, mildew, and damage. You can avoid future repair costs by catching problems in the early stages, before they get out of hand.

The sash is an interior framing that moves vertically up or down in windows that open. This article will show you how to do simple repairs to sash.

Weather Stripping

Wooden window sashes can add an elegant appearance to your home. They are also durable and can last many years if they are properly maintained. However, they can be damaged or degraded over time due to exposure and normal wear and tear. The first step in repair sash window damage is to fix weather stripping, which can be found on both the sash as well as the frame. It can cause drafts if it's worn or loose.
