The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, Vacuum robot as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a problem if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move on if it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products).
