The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-priced mop and robot auto vacuum cleaner. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can clean up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads clean your floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The app is adept at notifying you when something requires attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can need. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice however they can place the L10s in the luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
