The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of the button. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than the vibrating pads.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on if it comes across one.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best budget self emptying robot vacuum known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when away from home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for vacuums on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
