1. iRobot s8

This smart robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for a wide range of homes. It's not a great kitty litter eater, however as our tests show it is able to remove around 90 percent of the fur off hard floors.

There's a mopping mode which uses the same water tank as the vacuuming. This is great for spills that aren't too dangerous, but you are unable to regulate the amount of water it consumes. However, it does an excellent job of picking up pet hair, with a higher pickup rate than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is known for its quiet, effective appliances. It features a stunning design, excellent navigation and a powerful cleaning power. It has some oddities in its operation that keep it from being named the top smart Robot floor washer vacuum.

The RX2 comes with a dual-sensor mapping technology that makes use of LIDAR to map an area and a pair of 3D scanning cameras for detecting and avoiding obstacles (such as furniture legs or pet waste). Once the room is mapped the app allows you to designate virtual no-go zones and favorite sections that the robot will automatically clean. The RX2 has superior sensors that can detect furniture and other obstructions instantly. As with many others it's not a great climber and is prone to problems with things like thresholds made of steel transition strips.

4. Shark ION

This budget robovac that looks like any other, but comes with several more features and a better performance. Its smart mapping system generates 3D and 2-D maps of your house and uses them to navigate and avoid obstacles. If you're looking for a basic, no-frills robot vacuum at a low price, the Eufy 11S might be your best bet. It's not equipped with some advanced features such as Alexa integration and digital mapping found in more expensive models. However, if you don't need these features, you could save money.

This robot is easy to set up and use. It does not require smartphone application or Wi-Fi pairing. However, it does come with a remote control which lets you choose between various modes and adjust the suction levels. It also lets you manually send the robovac off on a scheduled cleaning.

During our tests, we discovered that the 11S was extremely effective at getting pet fur and dirt from carpets with low pile and hard floors. Its slim profile allowed it to fit under furniture with low hanging and other items that heavier robots were unable to get at. It was able to get effortlessly over door thresholds and switch between floors of different types to another.

Like other robots, the 11S can take in some objects like cords, drawstrings on hoodies, and cat toys. The manufacturer suggests that you can prevent this by keeping such objects off the floor and using the possibility of a cord organizer. Its self-navigating capabilities and environmental mapping are something to behold.
