The X8's tyres, despite their circular shape, are very good at grabbing edges and corners. Our tests showed that it was able to remove 90% of the fur on hard floors.

The mopping mode that is the basic one uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. This is ideal for spills that aren't dangerous, but you are unable to limit the amount of water it consumes. It does, however, do an excellent job of removing pet hair, with a better pickup rate than the Roborock S7.

Known for quietly effective home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum comes with outstanding cleaning power, beautiful design and excellent navigation. But it has a few operational oddities that keep it from ranking as the best overall smart robot vacuum.

Like iRobot's latest models like the RX2 comes with a dual-sensor mapping system that utilizes an LIDAR sensor to map out a room and a pair of 3D scanning cameras to identify and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real time. The RX2 has excellent sensors that can detect furniture and other obstructions in a flash.
