The Eufy 11S is among the most affordable self-emptying robotic vacuums available. It was able to efficiently remove dry Oats from hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile during our tests. The dust bin opens and empty easily, making it more convenient to use than other models at its price.

Its cleaning pattern doesn't always look like logical - at times it follows straight lines, while other times, it is able to find the edges of a room - however Bounce Navigation ensures your entire floor is cleaned. While it's a great alternative for cleaning up light chores, we think there are better robot vacuums that are better than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba 694 is more robust and easier to maintain, incurs lower recurring costs and is less time-consuming to charge. It has a larger bin, and performs better on any surface and is able to climb over obstacles that are low in elevation (like electrical cables) more easily.

The eufy RoboVac 11S makes an excellent choice for everyday vacuuming. It's designed in a similar way to our top pick, and is excellent in removing small particles and dirt on hard floors. It also does a good job on medium and low-pile carpet. It has a large dirt container and uses BoostIQ for automatic suction power adjustment. It also has an adjustable remote that is easy to use and you can schedule daily cleanings using the app. Its battery lasts about an hour, and the dustbin can be empty without taking it from the dock.

2. Roborock S7 maxV Ultra

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a fantastic robot that comes with a an array of amazing automation features. The Roborock S7 MaxV comes in three different versions: the basic S7 model, the S7 Plus model and the S7 Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only model with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its base and empty the debris it has collected in a dust bag or reservoir, drain the dirty water tank, and wash its mopping pads.

The S7's sensors work in tandem to eliminate obstacles and clean floors. It can identify flooring types and save a map for rooms and zones. It even detects dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and running spot cleaning sessions. It performed well in standard tests, however it could not match the iRobot Roomba j7+ in the carpet deep cleaning test.

Using the companion app, you can program the S7 to run a cleansing cycle according to your schedule. You can choose the cleaning mode, such as eco or automatic, as well as the day, week or even a time. It's easy to set up and has an enormous bin which can be easily emptied (albeit loudly) to a trashcan when it's full. It can also be programmed to clean the whole home on a regular basis.

The IQ XL is able to connect to your WiFi at home which allows you to keep track of its cleaning progress from the Shark app. The app lets you create cleaning schedules, receive notifications by push regarding its status, the ability to pause and resume cleaning, or limit it to one room. You can also control it via voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The app will tell you the power mode it's currently in, namely Eco, Normal, or Max. We didn't discover that any of the modes had a significant impact to the cleaning performance.

The i7 is also more robust and feels more durable. It is sturdy, has less maintenance requirements, has lower recurring costs, is faster to charge, and offers comparable battery performance and much more advanced automation features such as no-go zones as well as the ability to choose specific rooms to keep clean.

4. iRobot J7+

But it is able to remove them with a bit more effort. It also has good navigation capabilities and a pair of cliff sensors that keep it from falling down a flight of stairs or getting stuck on furniture legs.

We did notice a few minor niggles with the j7+, mainly that it can get caught on rugs and cords and that it doesn't always turn off its mopping when it's finished vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that ticks off all the boxes.

iRobot's j7+ also has one of the best self-emptying systems we've seen. It spits out its 14oz / 0.4-liter dust canister into the base station, where it automatically empties itself for you to. This reduces the amount of trash you need to get rid of. It is only necessary to replace the bag at the dock every 60 days, based on the frequency you use the j7+.
