All Nespresso machines require regular descales to get rid of internal mineral buildup. They notify you when it's time to descale and are usually cleanable.

1. OriginalLine

OriginalLine is Nespresso's original line of machines which use their hermetically sealed pods. These machines are the most affordable and produce espresso and user-friendly coffee machines. They also offer a larger range of drinks and capsules than VertuoLine. However, if you're looking for larger drinks, you'll need to opt for the VertuoLine line instead.

The VertuoLine utilizes newer techniques and specifications to deliver superior performance over the OriginalLine. They have a more diverse range of sizes for brews such as 0.85 ounces of ristretto 1.35 ounces of double espresso, 5.8 ounces of lungo and 14 ounces of Alto XL. They also offer a quicker process called centrifusion, which rotates the pods at 7,000 RPM, allowing more water to pass for better extraction.

VertuoLine along with improving technology, has increased the number capsules that are reusable and also introduced a sustainable packaging system. They are now using 80% recycled aluminum for their coffee capsules and are committed to increasing the percentage of recycled and low carbon virgin aluminum in future products.

The Lattissima Pro is one of the most efficient nespresso coffee machines on the market. It comes with a touchscreen display which lets you alter the settings. It also has a fast heating time. It also has a powerful steaming wand for creating a café-like foam and milk texture. The machine isn't as compact as some other models, however it is small in size and a reusable capsule which makes it easy to clean.

2. Vertuoline

The Vertuoline is a newer addition to the Nespresso line-up. It is the only machine that can make both coffee and espresso. It also includes an inbuilt milk frother. This is a great choice for people who enjoy diverse black drinks, but don't wish to hassle with making them separately.

However, the OriginalLine machines offer the best flavor because they produce 19 bars of pressure to better extract flavor from the grounds of espresso.

The newer VertuoLine machines also use a process known as Centrifusion to spin the capsules more quickly and more evenly than Original Line machines. This speeds up the rate at which the water gets infused and enhances the overall quality of the drink. 3. Original

This entry-level Original machine makes an excellent option for those with a limited space or budget. Breville created the thermocoil heating system.

The Creatista's automated steam and frothing function is the most thrilling. Simply place your milk pitcher over the temperature sensor beneath the wand and the machine will take care of all the work for you. It has 11 options that allow you to alter the texture of your milk. You can also manually frost your milk if you prefer the traditional method.

The Creatista's fast heat-up time is a further great feature. It is able to reach temperature in 3 seconds, which makes it more efficient than other Nespresso machines. The design of the machine is sleek and beautiful with a sleek body made of stainless steel that looks great on any counter. The high-resolution display makes it easy to use navigation when setting up, preparing and maintaining the machine. The machine is available in four different colors: black truffle (pictured), sea salt (pictured) damson blue (pictured) and stainless steel. The Creatista measures 6.7 x 15 x 12 inches (WxDxH). The OriginalLine is the smallest Nespresso machine, which means it can be placed on any counter.

5. CitiZ

This sleek espresso maker from Nespresso takes up less counter space than similar models. It also comes with a folding cup tray that allows it to fit larger recipe glasses and mugs. This is a great feature for small kitchens and makes it easier to use with taller recipes. The 19 bar extraction system makes it easy to make cafe-style dishes and the quick heating up is another benefit.

The basic CitiZ does not include the milk frother, but you can purchase one on its own or as part of the CitiZ&Milk bundle. This bundle comes with the Aeroccino steamer to make creamy cappuccinos and lattes. You can also make use of capsules that can be reused in this model, but they're not included.

It has a large water tank that can hold 1 liter, and containers for used capsules that can hold nine to eleven capsules. Contrary to the Pixie model, this one does not automatically empty used capsules after brewing; you need to raise and lower the holder to get them out.

It's a straightforward machine, and the streamlined design is easy to wipe clean. The model comes with the option of descaling, however there is no dedicated indicator or button, and the process can be a bit difficult to understand. Nespresso recommends using its own descaling system and running it through after 300 to 1,200 cups depending on how hard your water is. The drip tray and water tank can be removed for easy cleaning.

6. Gran Lattissima

One of the main differences between this model and the previous Lattissima Touch is that the version has 9 drink presets and only two of them are not milk-based drinks. It doesn't have the option of selecting the milk texture you prefer for a specific recipe, but it is possible to do this on the Lattissima Pro.

This model comes with a recyclable milk container that is washable. You don't need to worry about purchasing fresh milk or buying an additional appliance to go with the machine. This container is easy-to-clean and can be empty in seconds into the sink.

Gran Lattissima's energy-saving feature and quick heat-up are two other amazing features. It is heated in just 25 seconds, and has an enormous reservoir of 44 oz. It's also easy to remove the drip tray and froth jug to allow for cleaning. It's also easy to keep the machine in good shape with regular descaling and automatic cleaning cycles.
