Its suction is a bit less powerful than our top picks, however it's still able to do the job. It also has a huge dirt bin and a battery which lasts for over an hour. The app lets you schedule your daily cleaning chores or pick a specific room. You can also mark your home to help the device stay clear of areas you don't wish it to visit.

There's not much to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it does feel slightly less robust than the Roomba 694. The i7 also feels more durable, is more robust and requires less maintenance. It has lower recurring costs and charges more quickly and has comparable battery performance. It also comes with more advanced technology for automation, such as no-go zones and the ability to select specific rooms to be cleaned.

This robot mop/vac combo is a rarity as it does both jobs exceptionally well. The iRobot Combo j7+ offers all the features of its j7-based counterpart, including self-emptying and LiDAR mapping however, it also comes with additional features for both mopping and vacuuming.
