Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great way to obtain weapons, equipment and more. They're difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot allows you to carry pistols on a mission. Some people use it to help them achieve certain achievements, particularly those who are aiming for Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the additional pistol to make an additional gap. When you use this slot, it's important to remember that you will have to click the corresponding pistol category button, such as the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, in order to select the appropriate category. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it simpler. This combo will add a damage tick every 10 seconds from the Concealed Weapon for as long as it is positioned.

Slot for Smuggled Items

The smuggled items slot is an excellent feature that allows players to bring weapons and tools into the game, but could be improved. It's currently shaped like a pistol which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled item slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot can house a large variety of items, ranging from small concussion devices to weapons-grade explosives. These items are hidden in locations around the map. They can also be found anytime. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature available in short-term missions that allow players to discover different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear top-rated slots prior to their entry into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This allows players the ability to design the perfect mission for each task.

Gear Slot

The game's beginning players will notice that their gear slots rapidly get full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear mobile-Friendly slots are Full" message that prevents Max from selecting new equipment until the old ones are cleared or more space is found. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenges. Since a lot of these challenges are missed and are scattered around the globe, it could take a while to get the maximum number inventory slots in the game.

Each player can have up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to the break-in. Each gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades of the same kind) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations let you store items that do not fit in your slot for weapons or gear, and retrieve them later.

These pickups are especially useful if you have to pass through a frisk later in the course of your mission or if you're carrying a weapon that could otherwise cause suspicion. You can only conceal one item at a pickup location.

This DLC adds new contracts to asset protection and security to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and other items. Once you've reached the marker for your mission be sure to identify a group when you arrive.
