iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

Unlike some robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. But, just like any mop and vacuum it could get blocked by debris, such as the stray tennis shoes, ribbons, play jewelry, yarn, or other loose objects.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. You can also track the performance of your mops as well as their battery levels.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo j7+ joins the mop and robot vacuum lineup and combines the robotic cleaner's smart mapping capabilities along with its ability to handle spills. It is equipped with the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that is used by other Roomba options and maps your home seven times faster than earlier models. It also lets you set Keep Out Zones and Clean Zones to tell the best robot vacuum for carpet and hardwood which rooms it should avoid and when to clean them.

The robotic arm is the most significant feature of the J7. It keeps the mop pad in place when it is not in use and lowers it when carpeting or hard flooring. The idea is to not spray water on the rug and the Combo J7+ has done a good job of it in my testing. The robot was not able to walk across the rug, even though I moved it around a few times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank which is easy to remove and filled. This makes it easier to use than the mop pads found on other 2-in-1 robotic arms. It uses iRobot PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more advanced than other systems similar to it.

iRobot Combo i5

This multitasker can vacuum and mop with one machine. The vacuuming is done by using a special bin that can hold up to 60 days of debris. According to iRobot it reduces the amount dust released into the air. The i5+ is equipped with dual multi-surface rubber brush and Power-Lifting suction to tackle dirt and dust, pet hair, and stains. Simply swap the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're set to mop.

The i5+ uses iRobot OS which means it becomes smarter as you use it. It learns your floorplan, iRobot Vacuum and Mop creating a Smart Map that remembers room names and your specific cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule, or tell the robot to clean a particular room.

iRobot has integrated the ability to recognise household clutter like cords shoes, toys, and bags. It will then automatically stop and then return to dock and recharge and complete the cleaning job at a later time. It is compatible with voice commands like Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands around 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robotic vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good option for homes that have carpets and hard floors. It utilizes smart mapping and avoids obstacles to clean efficiently. It offers multiple mopping options, including the SmartScrub system for removing tough staining. It also allows you to set No Mop Zones so that carpets aren't sucked up. The dock replenishes the mopping fluid in a timely manner. The price is higher than the previous Roomba Combo j7+, but it offers more features.

Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies a pressure to the floor, which allows for more thorough cleaning. It also removes tough stains. It also gets under furniture and in tight spaces to provide a more thorough cleaning. The Combo j5+ is also compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt disposal.

It can even make an entire map of your home, allowing you to clean up any area you like after just one trip. It also can avoid objects such as cords, backpacks or pet toys. It also will avoid shoes, socks, and litter boxes. You can schedule cleanings in your home and remotely control your robot using the iRobot App.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It has a HEPA filter to eliminate allergens and has the same great external dust compartment, however it now supports smart mapping. It is now possible to create no-go areas to prevent the vacuum from vaccuming these areas again. The i3 Plus has a lot of other amazing features, like its advanced cleaning system and a power-lifting 10x vacuum. It also comes with a three-stage cleaning procedure. iRobot Combo i4

This iRobot robot vacuum and mop is great for anyone who wants a clean and tidy home without lifting a finger.
